Meet Amanda, your mentor & Business Coach!
As an oncology Physical Therapist, Certified Lymphedema Therapist, and Breast Cancer Coach, Amanda has devoted her career to making breast cancer rehabilitation accessible to everyone affected by breast cancer.
From 2016 to 2019, Amanda spearheaded and developed a multidisciplinary cancer rehabilitation program across 16 private Physical Therapy practices in Montreal, Canada. During that time, she also fostered partnerships with cancer organizations and hospitals within her community to improve referrals to therapists specialized in cancer rehabilitation. Leveraging her experience and success in program development, in 2021, Amanda successfully expanded the service offerings of two private Physical Therapy practices in New York, US, by introducing breast cancer rehabilitation and lymphedema therapy services.
In 2020, in hopes of further supporting the breast cancer community and providing inclusive, evidence-based education, Amanda started her social media pages. Her social media presence has helped both patients and clinicians to better understand and recognize cancer-related side effects.
Beyond direct patient care and program development, Amanda is also a clinical instructor and guest speaker. She has taught oncology continuing education courses for physical and occupational therapists, both nationally and internationally. She has also given numerous workshops for the breast cancer community, empowering patients with knowledge and self-care strategies. Amanda also serves as the Communications Lead of the Oncology Division at the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA).
Most recently, Amanda founded Well Beyond Breast Cancer, one of the first 501(c)3 non-profit organizations dedicated to improving the quality of life of the breast cancer community, through increased accessibility to breast cancer rehabilitation and lymphedema therapy. Today, she serves as the organization’s Executive Director.
